My suggestion is this Naboo Royal Cruiser (yes I had to look up the name) from Episode II and III. According to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! it had an acceleration force of 2,500 Gs. Not bad and it looks like a futuristic B-2 bomber that also looks like it was inspired by WWII aircraft. Great design.

This isn’t the time to prove your nerd cred by picking something other than this. It’s the obvious answer for a reason.

So much chrome...
For me, the X-wing stands out. We’re all used to seeing them now, but think about it. A fighter that looks like a dart coming straight at you, and then spreads its wings to an X with 4 fire-spitting tips ! It’s like a giant pissed-off mosquito from your worst nightmare.
That’s how you do shock and awe right there.

My fav has always been the shuttle tydirium.

Definitely the Virago.
Virago had four adjustable wings and thrust nacelles that moved constantly during flight, which created the illusion that Virago was a strange, living creature. Each of the vehicle’s wings were capped with two microthrusters. To achieve high speeds and for atmospheric travels, the craft’s wings folded closed behind the cockpit.

Star Destroyer, just because

At 19,000 meters in length [just over 55 times the length of the USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65) ], the Imperial Super Star Destroyer certainly creates an imposing presence. Sure, the fully operational battle station could destroy an entire planet, but a torpedo down the exhaust port was all it took to destroy it - the Super Star Destroyer was not dismantled until the bridge was rammed by an A-Wing fighter on a suicide mission.
Quite possibly, the biggest, baddest, meanest ship ever commissioned and deployed by the Empire, this ship stands out in my mind as the coolest ship in the Star Wars universe.

I have a Y-Wing star fighter with a moncalimari pilot, maybe it’s supposed to be admiral akbar. I don’t know. My son likes playing with my GI Joe tank a bit more though. Two C cell batteries and you can chase the dog around the house with it for hours.

This!
It’s the Exige of the Star Wars universe!
Or I was going to say TIE interceptor for the same reasons. Those hyperdrives sure add a lot of weight!

Dude. You just have me a tons of Dark Forces flashbacks. I had totally forgotten that ship!!
Good call and a deep reference. Love it.

I also love that ship and really all the others from Naboo. Especially that one that looked a little SR71-ish and of course their fighters:
It always bothered me though that these ships all look so futuristic to anything “newer” in the original trilogy. If they could make spacecraft as sleek and streamlined as the Naboo ships, why would they ever build something “newer” like the blockade runner that is styled so much older and more functional?
![]() 12/15/2015 at 20:17 |

Look up the Eclipse Super Star Destroyer and prepare to shit bricks.
![]() 12/15/2015 at 20:20 |

Naboo ships were always style over substance. Those Chromium bits were even necessary any more and hadn’t been for millennia. They were originally meant to protect against cosmic radiation, but shielding had long since taken care of that necessity.
Sure, they look sleek and cool. But Corellian ships like the Blockade Runner and Millennium Falcon were all about practicality.

“the Super Star Destroyer was not dismantled until the bridge was rammed by an A-Wing fighter on a suicide mission.”
So, basically it got scrapped by the equivalent of a kayak hitting a Nimitz class Aircraft Carrier? Sounds like a major design shortcoming to me.

Good pick. Not the coolest looking but probably the most deadly

I almost literally did. On a side note, that name makes it sound like a massive Mitsubishi sport compact bristling with guns.

I really did think that, until I looked up the Eclipse Super Star Destroyer. I still love the Super, but the Eclipse just blew me away.

I always wondered about the B-wing, but after the intro episode in Star Wars Rebels where they explained it a bit... and showed the combinant laser weapons... I really dig it now.
Although in this galaxy, here and now, if I had the money, I would be tempted to finish a Velocity V-twin in chrome-finish vinyl or Alsa chrome-effect paint, to make it look like a Naboo ship.

None of them. It’s from the (now defunct) Expanded Universe.

Best sleeper ever. If the guys from “Roadkill” were dropped in the Star Wars universe, they’d make something like this—junk on the outside, unreliable and constantly needing repairs, but fast as hell when it’s running right.
![]() 12/16/2015 at 09:00 |

But it has a big laser! Like the biggest laser that can blast empire ships.

From a style standpoint, the Naboo starships are some of the best looking. I’m especially a fan of the bright yellow Naboo Starfighter. It’s a clean design with 1950s futuristic style. Other prequel issues aside, George went nuts with Hot Rod styling in the prequels. The speeder from the chase on Coruscant is a perfect example of that.
And they might not be space-worthy but I still think pod racers are pretty cool.
![]() 12/17/2015 at 16:29 |

And I think they used F1 engine noises for some of the pod racers. I noticed while I was watching yesterday. Made me like the film more.
